Two PhD thesis were completed, by Jean-Baptiste Blanchard (in 2011) and Jean-Baptiste Sauvan (in 2012) : a link to their PhD is here .

The first topic was the measurement of the polarization of W bosons produced with high pT using W decay angular distributions. It lead to a publication Measurement of the polarisation of W bosons produced with large transverse momentum and was presented in a dedicated conference W boson polarisation in inclusive and ttbar production in ATLAS (Symmetries and Spin 2012).

The second topic was the study of V+jets event, which are a background to many measurement and searches and a test of pQCD predictions. This lead to an ATLAS publication on the Measurement of the production cross section of jets in association with a Z boson
